There is a generous amount of recreation space available to residents at Tenby House. The large main lounge, with it's bookshelf, colour television and aquarium, tends to be the focal point where residents, families and staff like to mingle and have a chat or to watch television. It also tends to be the area where the pantomimes are held. There is also a large second lounge, with a conservatory and colour television, which tends to be used more as a quiet area for those not wanting the energy and activity of the main lounge.
The Home has a lawned garden to the side for residents to use as they wish. This area is very sunny and is perfect for those who enjoy the sunshine and for those who enjoy looking at the varieties of shrubs and plants located there. There is also a larger, courtyard-style garden to the rear that is often used by residents to while away the afternoons in the Summer months. This area also contains the greenhouse and vegetable patch that some residents like to take an active involvement in when the growing season is under way. At the rear of the main lounge is a patio area that some residents use to have their lunch or afternoon tea under the protection of the canopy.
